Maybe with your economic power and your arrogance you will try to overthrow our government, like you did with Allende. Petro, the President of Colombia is supposedly a ex-leftist guerilla militant (which may well be true) and for that is sometimes called “Petrovsky” or “Petrosky” in Colombia. Donald Trump who is probably an idiot is sometimes called “Trompas” (translation: “big nose” ?) in Colombia. Recently, Trump was keen to get some publicity for his circus and found a willing clown in Gustavo Petro. Petro decided that he was going to refuse the landing of several aeroplanes carrying Colombians deported from the U.S.A because the deportees were handcuffed. Unfortunately for the logic of Petro's argument, deportees from the United States (of America) and elsewhere are almost always handcuffed, so this was nothing new.
Anyway, Trump reacted with his usual showmanship, which is possibly his only talent, and Petrovsky counter-attacked with a very long tweet which was reportedly sent at 3am when the President of Colombia had had more than a few whiskies. The tweet, complete with literary references, was widely ridiculed by the taxi-drivers of Colombia and by everybody else as well.
But the thing that was most painful for the average Colombian was that Trump immediately (but temporarily) closed the visa processing section of the US Embassy in Bogota, and people who had been waiting literally years for an interview for their visa application, suddenly had their visa appointment cancelled or rescheduled.
